Below are some samples from a comparison between a vintage Neve 1073 and the DON classics NV73.
It was recorded straight into a (Protools) Digi 192 at 96kHz 24bit .
It was recorded at the great Livingston studios in North London using a Neumann TLM170 (low output impedance mic -50ohms allowing a passive split without impedance issues or need for extra circuitry/transformers etc.
